DuraFlux™
Eltron Water Systems has developed and is refining semipermeable membranes that tolerate well the stress and chemicals inherent in operating and maintaining filter plants and membrane reactors.
By growing various layers of proprietary polymers onto thin-film composite membranes, Eltron Water's membranes increase chemical oxidizer tolerance, increase water permeability and decrease salt permeability.
Our highly stable thin film composite membranes can help reduce the costs and labor associated with:
- Reverse osmosis
- Nanofiltration
- Pervaporation
- Chemical and gas separation
- Catalysis
- Desalination
- Water purification
- Wastewater treatment
- Dairy, food and beverage processing
- Pharmaceutical and chemicals production
- Environmental remediation
DuraFlux™ membrane advantages include:
- Higher water flux (1.5 to 10X higher than conventional nanofiltration membranes)
- Higher thermal stability (80° C versus 50° C)
- Improved stability to transition metals and oxidizers
- Extended shelf life (> 2 years dry)
- Can be impregnated with metal or metal oxide particles
- Variety of microporous substrate materials can be deposited
- Unique polymer formulations
- Novel polymer process methodology
